Asahiyama Memorial Park

City Lights Glitter Beyond the Fountain
Asahiyama Park was built in 1970 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Sapporo. From the lookout point located at an elevation of 137.5 meters, the Ishikari Plain, city of Sapporo, and even the Sea of Japan can be seen. The park attracts many couples especially at night, when the illuminated fountain adds a special touch to the glittering lights of central Sapporo.
The key feature of this location is that by actually seeing the lights in the residential area, you can get a warm feeling of being together with family.
